Who is Fensa & why?

Fensa is a department of building controls. It was set up in April 2002 to monitor and register all glazed home improvements. We have to inform the governmental department on completion of all glazed home improvement.

Insulated Glass Units:

The majority of our glass unit thickness is either 24mm to 28mm width. We only use glass supplied by Pilkington glass & Solarglass of which is manufactured & sealed by a local company. The solarglass insulated glass products we use are thermally coated to 1.1 softcote. Using softcote glass, gives a greater heat retaining value, clarity and durability. With the ability of retaining more heat in your home this will help lower your energy costs as well playing your part to lower the Carbon Foot Print for your home and the area you live in.

Working together at the draught stage we can design a construction so you can add what you are looking for in a conservatory or sunroom. This makes it tailored by yourselves and not pressured into having a run of the mill off the shelf conservatory. We make all shapes and sizes, so we should be able work together and construct a unique construction to make you smile when completed.

Composite doors:
We have two suppliers of composite doors, both system suppliers offer high quality all colours and designs of door. The only difference between the systems is the centre core material. The cheaper more budget door is filled with high impact security insulating foam, the top range composite door is a solid layered bonded marine ply high security core.

Both front and back surfaces are a composite of gel bonded PVC resin. This has proven not to split or distort over years of usage and weathering. The glazing panels can be obscured Pilkington patterns or coloured glass options from our design booklets.

Bi folding doors:
Bi folding doors have moved the market forward from traditional patio and French doors. We can supply or install either Rehau PVC-u or Origin aluminium type frames, installing these doors for many years now our clients enjoy the possibility of moving the whole glass area to one side and having your garden area part of your lounge, dining room or conservatory.
